Spring & Summer 2009 Wedding Color Combos

Now all you beautiful barefoot Brides –  this is straight from a VERY reliable source – one of THE top wedding coordinators in the country – Linnyette Richardson-Hall—-here are some of the wedding color combinations HER Brides are choosing for their beach wedding and below that, vote for YOUR favorites!

  • HOT Pink & Orange
  • Orange & Tiffany Blue
  • Navy & Yellow
  • Shades of Seafoam Green
  • Gray & Orange

In MY opinion,  the orange and hot pink combo really pops for the warmer season – vibrant, alive and so tropical!  Jewels by Jan is designing a bridal barefoot sandal with orange & pink beads & cyrstals first so we can be ready for all those Brides who choose this color combo!  I can see it now – the Bride carrying a bouquet of hot pink and orange flowers, the bridesmaids wearing alternating pink or orange dresses and of course wearing crystal and glass beaded foot jewelry that matches.  And don’t forget that little flower girl – we’ll make her a little mini pair just like the Bride’s – Hearts Desire – our best-selling design with hearts and crystals .  Now that’s a stylish beach wedding!

Don’t forget to check out our site – http://www.jewels-by-jan.com to see ALL of our bridal barefoot sandals!  Beach wedding sandals couldn’t BE more perfect.

How popular are black & white weddings?

Jewels by Jan has also been busy designing 2-more new barefoot sandals for  black and white weddings (actually ours will be Black & Cream).  How often  do brides choose black and white as their wedding colors?  Would YOU ever choose these colors?  Tell us below.  This theme seems to be emerging once again and is most popular with brides who want an evening wedding with glitz & glamour, reminiscient of the 40′s era – Marilyn Monroe, men in black ties and women in chic black cocktail dresses with white-gloved waiters offering martini’s on trays.  A big band  for dancing and the bride all gorgeous in her white gown carrying a bouquet of lucious red roses- the perfect accent to black and white (or cream).  We’ve found so many beautiful wedding cakes done in black and white, wedding favors, etc. so this “trend” may be coming back in a big way so there are plenty of accessories to complement this theme.  One of the new beaded foot jewelry designs will be made with Swarovski crystals, delicate black beads with just a hint of gold for accent and topped off  with a beautiful black, rhinestone and gold scalloped medallion.  The other pair of barefoot sandals will be made with dainty black beads and both 4mm and 6mm Swarovski cream-colored pearls, complimented with a lovely scalloped pearl and rhinestone medallion trimmed in gold.  Ladies – when it’s time to get out on the dance floor, just kick off those Manolo Blahnik’s, slip into a pair of beaded barefoot sandals and dance in total comfort. WOW!   Both designs are now posted and you can find them at http://www.jewels-by-jan.com/barefootsandals.htm

Hi from Barefoot Gal!

Never thought I’d be blogging but boy, I can talk and talk when I’ve got something to say.  I think it’ ll be an interesting experience putting my thoughts on this site.  My sis Pat and I handcraft crystal, pearl and glass beaded foot jewelry for any kind of barefoot occasion.  Heck, you can wear them at home if you want.  They’ll match your swimwear so you can take them on a cruise, belly dancers wear barefoot sandals when they’re in full costume to match their outfit and, well…theres no better time to wear them than for your beach wedding.  Our original foot jewelry designs all have our distinctive “medallion-in-the-middle” so you’ll know who made them.  Beach weddings are still ultra-popular – and why not?  You can keep it intimate and romantic with your very closest family and friends, you’re in GORgeous tropical location and you’ll declare your love for one another as the sun is setting on the most important day of your life. Mmmmm – I’m there right now in my mind.  There isn’t a barefoot sandal that we can’t make – any color, any bead, any shape of bead – your feet will sparkle while you stand comfortably barefoot in the sand.  Find ALL our beach wedding sandals on our web site – http://www.jewels-by-jan.com/weddings.htm
